Apart from his passion in genito-urinary cancer, Dr. Tan is proficient in complex endourologic procedures for the treatment of urinary stone disease. He is especially keen in developing new surgical technology for use in endourology. He has scientific publications from his research work on laser technology, and also patented a novel flexible ureteroscope design. As a clinician, Dr. Tan strongly believes in a patient-centred approach and strives to tailor management plans for his patients. Dr. Tan is an active member of the Malaysian Urological Association where he served as an Executive Member and Chairperson of the Young Urologists Subcommittee in the 2016-2018 term.
